A little about me...

Resume

A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Jason is a Los Angeles-based single and multi-cam comedy director. He was selected to participate in the 2020 DGA Director Development Inititiave.  He worked for many years in New York theater as an actor, where he also assistant directed A Tale of Two Cities, before its move to Broadway. After moving to LA, Jason became a successful on-set acting coach. 

 

For the past 10 years, Jason has worked on television shows and movies for Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Nickelodeon, SyFy and Universal.  He made his television directing debut on Amazon’s Emmy-nominated series, Just Add Magic, followed by Disney’s Emmy-nominated sitcom, Bunk’d

 

He won the award for Best Director at the Eclectic Theatre Company’s Festival of Shorts. His youth work stems, in part, from his time as a director with the Creative Arts Team, the country’s largest professional youth theater.  Jason has taught classes in "directing the actor for comedy" as an associate professor at both NYU and USC.  He is represented by Michael Kolodny at The Kaplan Stahler Agency.
